MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

PURSUIT: Gallows Road and Cedar Street, 11/13/17 around 3:00 a.m. An officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver refused to stop and a pursuit ensued. Due to weather, the pursuit was terminated. Moments later, officers found the car in a parking lot. The driver, Abel Villalobos Alvarado, 33, of Falls Church, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, misdemeanor speed to elude, driving without a license, and refusal of a breath test.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

PURSUIT: Fairfax County Parkway and Stringfellow Court, 11/9/17 at 9:45 p.m. An officer attempted to stop a vehicle for driving in a reckless manner. The driver did not stop and a pursuit ensued. The driver stopped a few miles later at Fox Mill Road. Oveston Cox, 40, of Sterling, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving on a revoked license, misdemeanor speed to elude, and reckless driving.

ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

Business compliance checks were conducted in the Fair Oaks District on November 9. Cadets attempted to purchase alcohol at nine different businesses. Zero alcoholic beverages were sold to anyone underage. We thank our retail community for their vigilance and commitment to combat underage drinking.
