Nearly 20 Cases of Theft from Vehicles in the West Springfield District; One Car Stolen, Two Burglaries Reported

West Springfield Police District – Detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying three people believed to be responsible for numerous thefts from vehicles over the last 12 hours in the Fairfax area of the county. Since this morning, officers from the West Springfield District have responded to at least 17 calls, including one on Stanhope Place where a car was stolen. In two cases, it appears the suspects may have entered homes to get keys to more vehicles.

The stolen car is a black 2017 Ford Fusion with Virginia plates VUL-6720. Detectives say it has several stickers on the back, and a cracked windshield on the driver’s side.

We would like to remind the community to keep all vehicles locked when parked and keep all valuables out of sight. Detectives encourage drivers to keep their garage door openers inside their homes as opposed to their vehicles. It is also important to lock the door within the garage that leads to the rest of the home.

Calls are still coming in and officers are responding to investigate. If you would like to file a police report, please call our non-emergency line at 703-691-2131. Please also let us know if you come across this stolen car, or have any information about these suspects.
