ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER: 3500 block of Buckman Road, 3/9/18 at 9:55 a.m. Dayjohn McRae, 18, of Burke, was arrested after resisting arrest following a traffic stop. An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in which McRea was the passenger. McRea and the driver were asked to exit the car due to suspicion of narcotics. McRea physically assaulted one officer and was arrested for assault on a law enforcement officer, obstruction of justice, and possession of marijuana.
ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER: 2511 Parkers Lane (Mount Vernon Police Station), 3/9/18 at 7:30 p.m. Michael Anthony Almes, 25, of Alexandria, was arrested for assault on a law enforcement officer after initially being arrested on a domestic related incident. Almes was being escorted to the magistrate when he became disorderly and started spitting on an officer and then at deputies.
TRAFFIC PURSUIT: 8000 block of Richmond Highway, 3/10/18, 8:10 p.m. An officer on patrol observed a vehicle driving recklessly on Richmond Highway. The officer attempted to stop the car, but it continued driving towards the Maryland state line. Due to traffic, the pursuing officer lost sight of the vehicle. The Prince George’s County Police Department located the vehicle abandoned near National Harbor.
ROBBERY: 6711 Richmond Highway (Rite Aid), 3/11/18, 6:45pm. A man entered a convenience store and displayed a handgun to an employee. The suspect took cash and fled on foot. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as a black man, appearing to be in his 20s, about 5’9” and wearing grey sweats and sunglasses.

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER / DRUNK IN PUBLIC: 7000 block of New Providence Drive, 3/11/18, 3:30 p.m. Allison Seol, 23, of Falls Church, was charged with assault on law enforcement and drunk in public. Officers responded for an intoxicated woman lying in the bushes. When officers attempted to take her into custody, the woman kicked and bit the hand of one of the officers.

NARCOTICS ARREST: Centreville Road, 3/10/18,12:16 a.m. A 30-year-old woman was arrested for possession with intent to distribute narcotics. A police officer on patrol saw a vehicle driving with no headlights on. A traffic stop was conducted. During the encounter, the officer detected an odor of marijuana which resulted in a search of the vehicle. The search revealed marijuana, cocaine, MDMA, and THC wax.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
BURGLARY: 9100 block of Galbreth Court, between 3/4/18 at 9:00 a.m. and 3/11/18 at 3:15 p.m. A homeowner reported cash and several other items removed from the residence.
ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER: 7800 block of Killebrew Drive, 3/10/18, at 5:40 p.m. Rona Johnston Courtney, 54, of Annandale, was arrested for assault on law enforcement after officers responded to her home to investigate a traffic violation. The officers identified a suspect that lead them to Courtney’s residence. Courtney, who was not the focus of the investigation, became uncooperative as officers investigated the matter as well as attempted to locate a man who was wanted.
