Former Fairfax County Public Schools Teacher Charged with Indecent Liberties with a Child
A Manassas man has been charged after an investigation determined he had an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile while employed as a shop teacher at Langston Hughes Middle School. In June of 2014, a relative of the victim reported a suspicious relationship between the teen and a school teacher. At that time, there was insufficient information to place criminal charges. In 2017, we received additional information indicating criminal acts occurred in 2014. Timothy Threlkeld, 40, of Manassas, was arrested and charged in November with four counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.
An internal communications error resulted in this information just being released today. Threlkeld resigned his positon with FCPS effective June 30, 2015. Threlkeld’s next court date in this case is set for August 27.
