RESTON DISTRICT STATION

PURSUIT: Sunrise Valley Drive and Fairfax County Parkway, 11/07/18, 8:35 p.m. An officer was on patrol when he noticed a traffic violation. When the officer tried to stop the car, it drove off at a high rate of speed. When the car stopped in the 2000 block of Cocquina Drive, the driver, Douglas Arriola Acosta, 38, of Centreville, ran away from the car. Acosta was arrested a short time later by a K-9 officer. Acosta was treated at Reston Hospital for a K-9 bite, and charged with speed to elude, driving while intoxicated, second in five years, and driving on a revoked license. The passengers, Ronald Medina Aguilar, 38, of Herndon, Jose Timeuz, 25, of Reston, and William Guillen Melendez, 29, of Reston, were charged with drunk in public.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT: 6880 Frontier Drive (Springfield Metro Station), 11/07/18, 9:48 a.m. Our officers responded to assist a Metro Transit Police Officer with a robbery that had just occurred. During the investigation, a teenager interfered and punched our officer. The teen was charged with obstruction of justice and assault on a law enforcement officer.
