FCPD WEEKEND RECAP Monday, November 19
ROBBERY: 6400 block of Selby Court, 11/17/18, 11:37 p.m. The victim agreed online to meet a man outside the townhomes at this location to sell him shoes. After handing the suspect one of the shoes so that he could inspect it, the man then demanded the victim hand him the other shoe. The victim complied, and the suspect ran away with the shoes to the rear of the townhouses. A witness directed officers to the home into which the suspect ran. They arrested Cesar Lopez, 18, of Manassas, inside the home along with another teenager at the same location whom he was working with to set up the robbery. Both suspects were interviewed by detectives and Lopez was charged with robbery. Petitions are pending for the juvenile.

BURGLARY: 6400 block of Cavalier Drive, 11/16/2018, between 4:45 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The victim came home and noticed that their house had been broken into. Several watches, cash and a passport were taken from the home.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 9000 block of Furey Road, 11/16/18, 4:00 a.m. Officers responded to the Lorton HealthPlex for a report of a shot person. Officers determined a 23-year-old Lorton man was sitting on his couch at home cleaning his revolver, when he accidentally fired a round grazing his left shoulder as he stood up. Officers responded to the home and verified the man’s account of the events and determined no one else was injured. The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office was consulted and does not plan to prosecute the case.
PURSUIT: Braddock Road at Wakefield Chapel Road, 11/17/18, 10:48p.m. Officers noticed a car speeding on westbound Braddock Road near Wakefield Chapel Road. After turning on all police emergency equipment in an attempt to stop the car, the driver continued without stopping for 1.6 miles. Once additional police units arrived, the driver, Suyang Wang, 27, of Fairfax, finally pulled over. She was issued citations for speeding and improper registration.
