Detectives Asking for Public’s Help in Identifying Man Robbing Delivery Drivers

Mount Vernon District- Detectives are asking for tips after several delivery drivers were robbed. Since January 10th, there have been nine robberies of delivery drivers in the area of Pembrook Village Drive and Buckman Road in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County. The suspect orders food by phone to be delivered to a random address near the listed locations below. When the delivery driver arrives, the food and personal property is taken.

The suspect has been described as a black man, age varying between 20 and 30 years old. Witnesses have described him as being 5’8” to 6’ tall and medium build. In the robberies, he has worn dark clothing, with a mask covering his face. A handgun has been displayed during the robberies. Most of the robberies have occurred between 7:00 p.m. and midnight.
