MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT: 5900 block of Richmond Highway, 7/12/19, 6:20 p.m. A man entered a store, became disorderly and refused to leave. A customer intervened and the man displayed a knife. The man briefly left the store, but returned moments later, assaulted the customer and left in a blue Chevy Impala. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening. The suspect is described as black man, wearing a white tank top and black jeans.

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT/OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE: 8200 block of Russell Road, 7/13/19, 12:06 a.m. An officer stopped to assist a woman being chased by a man in a store parking lot. Herbert Plimpton, 38, of Alexandria, who had been banned from the business, became disorderly and assaulted the officer. He continued to assault officers as they tried to arrest him. TRESPASSING/DRUNK IN PUBLIC: 2400 block of Midtown Avenue, 7/13/19, 1:30 a.m. A resident reported that an intoxicated man followed them into a secure parking garage. An officer saw the man trying to enter several cars and Michael Johnson, 32, of Annandale, was banned from the property and charged with unlawful entry and drunk in public.071519, Mugshot - Johnson, Michael

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 5900 Richmond Highway (Ourisman Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge of Alexandria), 7/14/19, 4:03 a.m. Officers responded to the dealership for three suspects on the property stealing goods. When officers arrived, the three suspects attempted to run away, but were quickly caught with K9’s assistance. Rajhmon Smith, 18, of Washington D.C., was charged with two counts of grand larceny, two counts of burglary, destruction of property, petit larceny and providing false info to avoid arrest. Two juveniles face similar charges.

PRESCRIPTION FRAUD: 2551 John Milton Drive (Giant Pharmacy), 7/12/19, 8:35 p.m. A man tried to pass a fraudulent prescription and was stopped by officers as he left the store. Xavier Knowles, 22, of Georgia, was charged with three counts of assuming the title of doctor and selling or distributing a schedule-V narcotic.

BURGLARY: 1100 block of Round Pebble Lane, 7/13/19, 9:12 a.m. Someone entered a garage overnight and stole a bicycle. A car parked in the driveway was entered but nothing was taken.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ACCIDENT HIT AND RUN/STOLEN AUTO RECORVERY: 7600 Beulah Street, 7/12/19, 2:54 p.m. A 2019 Dodge Ram was involved in a crash with another car. The occupants of that car jumped out and ran into the woods. The Ram was reported to be stolen the day prior. One juvenile was found and arrested. Charges are pending.

ROBBERY: 6800 block of Heatherway Court, 7/12/19 11:12 p.m. Two men assaulted the victim with a baseball bat and took his backpack. The suspects are described as two men in their early 20s wearing dark clothes.

ROBBERY: 4700 block of Commons Drive, 7/14/19, 11:08 p.m. The victim was walking home when a man approached, displayed a gun and demanded his property. The victim did not have any property, so the man ran away. The suspect was described as a black man, 20-25 years old, 175 pounds, 5’7”-5’9”, with a beard.
