STOLEN AUTO WITH APPREHENSION: 6140 Richmond Highway (Moon Inn), 8/3/19, 4:47 p.m. Officers were called to the area to look for a stolen vehicle and found it in the parking lot of the Moon Inn. Donald Coleman, 27, of Washington D.C., was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 1931 Old Gallows Road (7 Eleven), 8/2/19, 8:53 p.m. A man walked behind the counter taking money and merchandise. The suspect is described as a black man wearing all black clothing. No one was injured.

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/DRUNK IN PUBLIC: 3600 block of Firehouse Lane, 8/4/19, 11:14 p.m. Officers encountered a drunk man who was shirtless, walking in the road and not responding appropriately. Norlin Arguetea-Diaz, 24, of Annandale, was arrested for drunk in public. Argueta-Diaz then assaulted an officer and kicked the cruiser door and window. Two other officers were assaulted while trying to restrain him.  Argueta-Diaz was taken to an area hospital and warrants were obtained for three counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, drunk in public and a pedestrian violation.

ROBBERY: 6024 block of Vista Drive, 8/4/2019, 2:32 a.m. The victim was approached by four men who assaulted him with a baseball bat. The suspects took the victim’s wallet and ran away. One suspect is described as Hispanic in his late teens wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/BURGLARY: 9600 block of Thomas Baxter Place, 8/3/19, 8:28 a.m. Officers responded to a domestic related call for service and were assaulted by a man at the location. The man ran from officers and entered a home that was not his own in the 9500 block of Daniel French Street. He assaulted, and then prevented a person inside the home from leaving. Officers quickly arrived and arrested the man. Michael Davis, 30, of Lorton, was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, burglary, assault and abduction.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6575 Frontier Drive (Great Wall Restaurant), 8/3/19, 10:12 a.m. Someone broke into the restaurant overnight and stole money from the registers.

BURGLARY / GRAND LARCENY / POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I/II NARCOTICS: 6868 Springfield Boulevard (Motel 6), 8/4/19, 8:52 a.m. A victim reported someone entered his room and stole personal property. Officers found the suspect nearby and charged Daniel Rosales, 25, of Alexandria with burglary, grand larceny, larceny with intent to sell and possession of a schedule I or II narcotic. Rosales was held without bond.

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/RESISTING ARREST/TRAFFIC VIOLATION: Lee Highway at Fairfax Boulevard, 8/3/19, 5:46 p.m. An officer saw a man abandon a bicycle near the intersection and attempted to speak with him. The man became aggressive and started to threaten the officer. It became apparent to the officer the man was intoxicated.  While arresting the man for being drunk in public he bit an officer.  Chandler Curtis, 31, of no fixed address, was charged with drunk in public, assault on a law enforcement officer and obstruction of justice.

RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 2400 block of Little Current Drive, 8/4/19, 12:23 p.m. Officers responded after a man reported he accidentally fired a shot while cleaning his gun inside his apartment. No one was injured and charges will be determined pending consultation with the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
