Detectives Seeking Person of Interest in Unlawful Filming of a Minor

Franconia Police District – Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in an unlawful filming of a minor in a store bathroom at the Springfield Town Center. On July 22, a 16-year-old boy was using the bathroom at Macy’s. The victim initially noticed a hole in the bathroom stall.  When he looked in the hole, he could see himself on the screen of a phone positioned to record his stall. The victim reported this to his mother who then notified police. The store has been cooperating fully with the investigation.

Video footage was provided to us, which shows a man in the area of the store around the time of the offense. Detectives believe this is someone who may have information regarding the case.
