Centreville Man Charged with Identity Theft and Credit Card Crimes
Sully District Station – 37-year-old Robert Tindall, of Centreville, is facing felony charges of Identity Theft, Credit Card Theft and five counts of Credit Card Forgery. The initial credit card fraud report was filed in April of 2019, however the criminal activity occurred in mid to late 2018, and detectives exhausted all investigative leads at the time. Detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau’s Financial Crimes Squad were able to further their investigation in January after they received a new investigative tip. After a thorough investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Tindall. He was arrested today and taken to the Adult Detention Center where he is being held on no bond.
At the time of the offense, the victim was receiving services through FACETS, a nonprofit organization that assists in providing emergency shelter and other resources to those in need. Tindall was employed at FACETS during the time and met the victim through his position there.
