SULLY DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 5800 block of Trinity Parkway, 5/17/20, 10:44 a.m. The victim accepted a ride from a man he just met. After arriving at his destination, the man assaulted the victim and stole his personal property before driving away. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspect was described as a white man in his 40’s.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 8501 Richmond Highway (Ojos Bar), 5/15/20, 10:58 p.m. Two men got into a confrontation inside the restaurant. One of the men stabbed the other as well as an employee who attempted to intervene. Both victims sustained minor injuries. Carlos Galeas Aguilar, 43, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with two counts of malicious wounding.

STOLEN AUTO/VEHICLE PURSUIT: 1600 block of Belle View Boulevard, 5/17/20, 11:56 p.m. A man was seen getting into a stolen 2020 GMC Yukon in a parking lot and drove away. Officers attempted a traffic stop but the driver sped away initiating a pursuit. The SUV continued driving into Maryland and eventually into the District of Columbia where it ended after the SUV became disabled. The driver ran away but was eventually taken into custody. Charges are pending.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

STOLEN AUTO/VEHICLE PURSUIT: 8100 block of Strawberry Lane, 5/15/20, 9:19 p.m. A man came outside and discovered someone had stolen his 2003 Nissan Maxima. Officers located the car and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop initiating a pursuit. The driver hit a parked car and the occupants ran away but were taken into custody. Laysohn Jones, 19, of Maryland, was charged with grand larceny, disregarding signal to stop by law enforcement and no driver’s license. Conner Brown, 19, of Washington, D.C., was charged with grand larceny and false identification to law enforcement. Photo not available for Brown.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 6100 block of Little River Turnpike, 5/16/20, 2:20 a.m. A group of men were approached by the suspect who displayed a gun and stole their personal property. Dennis Owen Wise Jr., 31, of Fort Washington, Maryland, was arrested and charged with three counts of robbery with a firearm, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. There were no injuries.

DWI CRASH: Interstate 495/Arlington Boulevard, 5/17/20, 2:05 a.m. A driver of a 2016 Kia Optima hit two police cruisers who were on an unrelated traffic stop. Christopher Michael Kim, 45, of Fairfax, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath/blood test, failure to move over for an emergency vehicle and possession of an open container. The driver and an officer were taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY: Beulah Street/Franconia Springfield Parkway, 5/15/20, 5:33 p.m. Officers stopped a stolen 2017 Lincoln MKZ and the driver, George Edward Bettis, 79, of Salem, was arrested for violation of a protection order. Additional outstanding warrants were served for unauthorized use of a vehicle and probation violation.
