SULLY DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: Sully Park Drive/Kamputa Drive, 7/6/20, 3:45 a.m. A man sitting in his car was approached by a man who displayed a handgun, stole his personal property and then walked away. The suspect was described as a 20 to 30-year-old Hispanic man wearing dark clothing.

STOLEN AUTO/HIT AND RUN: 13800 block of Braddock Road, 7/9/20, 6:21 p.m. The driver of a 2018 Ford F150 left the truck unlocked with the keys in the ignition at a nearby business. A man got into the unattended truck and drove off. The man was involved in two separate hit and run crashes before he eventually stopped and was taken into custody by arriving officers. Jacinto De Leon Terraza, 22, of Centreville, was charged with grand larceny, felony and misdemeanor hit and run, reckless driving and driving without a license.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 6000 block of Richmond Highway, 7/3/20, 12:03 a.m. Officers responded for a man who was found lying on the ground suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim was taken to a hospital for injuries that were initially life-threatening but later upgraded to non-life-threatening. The suspect, Duane Harris, 48, of Alexandria, was charged with malicious wounding.

MISSILE INTO OCCUPIED DWELLING: 9100 block of Richmond Highway, 7/4/20, 10:37 p.m. A homeowner heard the sound of gunshots and found a bullet hole in a window. Officers found a bullet in the window frame. No one was injured. 

MISSILE INTO OCCUPIED DWELLING: 9100 block of Richmond Highway, 7/4/20, 11 p.m. A homeowner heard the sound of gunshots and found a bullet hole in a window. Officers found a bullet in a wall. No one was injured. 

RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 7900 block of Richmond Highway, 7/9/20, 12:33 a.m. A man accidentally discharged a gun inside an apartment. The bullet went through a wall and into an adjacent apartment wall causing property damage. No one was injured and charges are pending.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 2000 block of International Drive, 7/4/20, 5:41 p.m. Officers responded to the area for the sound of possible gunshots but did not locate anyone. Investigation revealed there was a possible altercation in a parking lot between two groups of men who all had left prior to police arrival. A handgun was recovered at the scene.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES: 8600 block of Westwood Center Drive, 7/7/20, 6:56 a.m. Several businesses to include The Perfect Pita, Side Street & Sushi Bar by I-Thai and Classic Bakery were broken into overnight. Property was stolen from one of the businesses while nothing appeared to have been taken from the others.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 6300 block of Little River Turnpike, 7/3/20, 12:29 a.m. A man was walking in the area when a Nissan Altima approached him. Four men exited the car, assaulted him, stole his personal property and then drove away. The victim sustained minor injuries.

ROBBERY: 3400 block of South Jefferson Street, 7/4/20, 3:11 a.m. A man was walking in a parking lot when several cars approached him. Five men exited the cars, assaulted him, stole his personal property and then drove away. The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS/POSSESSION OF STOLEN FIREARM: 6100 block of Backlick Road, 7/5/20, 12:02 a.m. Officers responded to the area for a possible weapons brandishing. Officers located Franklin Martinez Navaro, 28, of Alexandria, who was arrested for drunk in public and found to be in possession of a loaded handgun magazine. Officers recovered a stolen handgun and narcotics inside his car. He was charged with possession of schedule I or II drug, possession of schedule I or II drug while possessing a firearm, receiving a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by foreign alien and drunk in public.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

TRAFFIC PURSUIT/DWI: Lee Jackson Memorial Highway/West Ox Road, 7/5/20, 9:01 p.m. An officer attempted to stop a 2018 BMW X6 for a traffic violation and the driver refused to stop resulting in a pursuit. The driver eventually pulled into a parking lot and was taken into custody. Allyson Spring, 45, of Fairfax, was charged with driving while intoxicated and eluding.
