SULLY DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 5652 Pickwick Road (CVS Pharmacy), 7/25/20, 4:50 a.m. A juvenile suspect approached the cashier, displayed a knife and demanded money.  The juvenile then called 911 to report the robbery. Officers took the juvenile into custody and charges are pending. No injuries were reported.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 5940 Richmond Highway (ABC store), 7/28/20, 2:47 a.m. Two men broke into the business and stole property.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 1500 Boyd Pointe Way, 7/26/20, 9:37 p.m. Two men armed with handguns approached the victim and tried to rob him.  The victim ran into a building and the suspects ran away.  There were no injuries reported.

VEHICLE PURSUIT/LARCENY: 2001 International drive, 7/30/20, 3:03 p.m. Officers responded to a larceny and attempted to stop a 2011 BMW 328i that was involved.  The driver refused to stop resulting in a pursuit.  Officers lost sight of the vehicle during the pursuit.  A community member later reported the suspect’s vehicle in her driveway.  Laura Lynn Meffley, 59, of La Plata Maryland was taken into custody and charged with Grand larceny, larceny with intent to sell, larceny third offense, and speed to Elude.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 3000 Annandale Road Street (Bep Viet Restaurant), 7/28/20 9:16 a.m.  Officers responded to a burglary report and found the front glass door of the business broken.  The investigation revealed someone entered the business overnight and stole merchandise.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6653 Arlington Boulevard (Miu Kee Restaurant), 7/28/20 10:30 a.m.  Officers responded to a burglary report and found the front glass window of the business broken.  The investigation revealed someone entered the business overnight and stole merchandise.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

MALICIOUS WOUNDING/STABBING:  6500 Springfield Mall, 7/25/20, 6:31 p.m. Three individuals approached the victim inside a mall and an altercation ensued where the victim was stabbed. The victim was taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life threatening. Three suspects described to be in their late teens, ran away.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 8412 Old Keene Mill Road (Yindee Thai Restaurant), 7/28/20, 2:25 a.m. Officers responded to an alarm and found the front glass door of the business broken.  The investigation revealed two men entered the business and stole merchandise.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 7215 Commerce Street (Seoul Barbeque), 7/28/20 9:11 a.m.  Officers responded to a burglary report and found the front glass door of the business broken.  The investigation revealed someone entered the business overnight and stole merchandise.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

SUSPICIOUS EVENT: Burke Road/Rolling Road, 7/26/20, 5:18 p.m. Officers were called to investigate a suspicious device that was attached to a pedestrian signal post. Members of our Special Operations Division responded to the scene and the object was removed after being deemed safe.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6409 Shiplett Boulevard (Cedar Cafe), 7/28/20, 2:00 a.m. Officers responded to a burglary report and found the front glass door of the business broken.  The investigation revealed someone had entered the business and stole merchandise.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6411 Shiplett Boulevard (Sakura Grill), 7/28/20, 2:00 a.m. Officers responded to a burglary report and found the front glass door of the business broken.  The investigation revealed someone entered the business, but nothing appeared to have been taken.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 8938 Burke Lake Road (Hunan West), 7/28/20, 2:10 a.m. Officers responded to a burglary report and found the front glass door of the business broken.  The investigation revealed two men entered the business and stole merchandise.

BURGLARY: 470 Medford Road (Annandale High School), 7/29/20, 2:13 a.m. Officers responded to an alarm and found an open door at the school.  The officers located a juvenile nearby who was in possession of stolen items. The juvenile was arrested and released to his parents; charges are pending.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 2912 Chain Bridge Road (CVS Pharmacy), 7/24/20, 4:48 p.m. An employee confronted a man who had previously stolen items from the store.  The man assaulted the employee, took his personal property and ran away.  The employee was taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life threatening.
