Homicide Investigation Underway After Early Morning Shooting in Annandale

Franconia Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are continuing to investigate a fatal shooting that occurred this morning. 19th Annual Drug Take Back Day – Operation Medicine Cabinet Cleanout

In conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration, our department, along with a number of other Fairfax County agencies participated in the 19th Annual National Drug Take Back Initiative this past Saturday, Oct. 24. Officers from each of our eight districts staffed collection sites where community members safely disposed of 1,696 pounds of unused and expired over-the-counter and prescription medications.
