ROBBERY: 8200 block of Russell Road, 10/5/20, 9 p.m. The victim reported he was approached by a man who assaulted him, took personal property and cash, then ran away. No injuries were reported.
MISSLE INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 8000 block of Tyson Oaks Circle, 10/4/20, 10:30 a.m. After hearing a loud noise, a homeowner found a bullet lodged in a door frame inside their house. Investigation revealed damage to a neighbor’s home as well. No injuries were reported.
RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 3800 block of South George Mason Drive, 10/4/20, 1:17 a.m. Officers responded for the report of gun shots and located a damaged car. Shell casings were recovered. No injuries were reported.
ROBBERY: 3600 block of Annandale Road, 10/5/20, 10:30 p.m. A man arrived home and was approached by two men who displayed guns, demanded money and drove away. Cash and personal property were taken.
ROBBERY: 4900 block of Beauregard Street, 10/6/20, 11:52 a.m. The victim arranged to meet two men to sell an item when they displayed a gun, assaulted him, took personal property and ran away. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 13470 Coppermine Road (Sunoco), 10/8/20, 12:14 a.m. A man entered the store, assaulted an employee and demanded cash from the register. The man took cash and ran from the store. The employee was not injured.
RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 9500 block of Hagel Circle, 10/2/20, 4:02 p.m. Officers responded to the area for the report of gun shots and found a home damaged. Multiple shell casings were recovered. No injuries were reported.
ASSAULT: 5100 block of Backlick Road, 10/7/20, 5:02 p.m. The victim was waiting for the bus when he was approached by a man who shouted racial slurs and displayed a machete. During the confrontation, the man threw a shopping cart at the victim. Cloy Michael Williams, 60, was charged with biased assault, possession of a concealed weapon and brandishing.
WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
ROBBERY: Northumberland Road and Euclid Way, 10/2/20, 9:09 p.m. A man reported he arranged to sell items to a friend using a social media application. He was approached by three men who assaulted him, took personal property and left in a car. Minor injuries were reported.
ROBBERY/ATTEMPTED CARJACKING: 12209 Fair Lakes Promenade Drive (Old Navy), 10/3/20, 2:25 p.m. A man took merchandise and left without paying. An employee confronted the man outside and was assaulted. The man ran away a short distance and forced a victim out of a car and tried to steal it. The victim was able to hold the man until officers arrived. Paulus Hay, 29, of Groveton, was charged with robbery and assault.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 9536 Lee Highway (Heat Restaurant & Hookah Lounge), 10/04/20, 2:45 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a large group of people fighting. During the fight, a man was hit in the head with a bottle and taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
