SULLY DISTRICT STATION

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

PURSUIT/STOLEN AUTO RECOVERY/NARCOTICS POSSESSION: Beacon Hill Road at Richmond Highway, 1/29/21, 7:16 a.m. An officer attempted to stop a stolen 2010 Volkswagen but the driver refused, resulting in a pursuit. The driver, Antonio Gunn, 47, of Alexandria, ran from the car while it was moving which rolled into a fence. He was taken into custody and found to be in possession of PCP. Gunn was charged with grand larceny auto theft, speed to elude and possession of a scheduled I/II narcotic. A passenger, Bryant Hawkins, 50, of Dumfries, remained in the car and was charged with possession of stolen property and possession of a schedule I/II narcotic.  

FELON IN POSSESION OF A FIREARM: 7500 block of Richmond Highway, 2/1/21, 9:46 p.m. Officers observed El-Amin Mutee, 42, of Maryland, asleep in his car in a parking lot with his hazard lights on. Concerned for his well-being officers attempted to wake him. Mutee awoke and attempted to drive away but was stopped by officers. Inside the car officers located narcotics and a stolen handgun. Mutee was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, concealed weapon violation, and resisting arrest.  

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 6700 Block of Richmond Highway, 2/3/21, 12:54 p.m. The victim was soliciting donations in a parking lot when Donte Glenn, 36, of Alexandria, approached him with a knife. A witness intervened and Glenn walked away. Officers located Glenn nearby who refused commands and struggled with officers before being taken into custody and charged with robbery. An officer was taken to the hospital and treated for an injury sustained during the arrest.    

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 8449 Leesburg Pike (Best Buy), 2/3/21, 12:15 p.m. A store employee and a man were involved in a dispute. The man stabbed the employee multiple times before running away. Officers arrived and located Jose Reyes, 25, of Maryland, who was taken into custody and charged with malicious wounding. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.  

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 7000 block of Columbia Pike, 2/4/21, 8:38 p.m. A man approached two victims, displayed a handgun and demanded property. The man took the property before running away.  

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 11516 Leesburg Pike (Sunoco), 2/3/21, 3:18 a.m. Officers responded to an alarm and discovered two men had broken a door to the closed business. The men stole an ATM before leaving in a van.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

DESTRUCTION OF COUNTY PROPERTY: 5415 Colliers Lane (Bren Mar Park), 2/1/21, 11:45 a.m. An officer took a report for county signs that were damaged by gunfire on an unknown date and time. No injuries were reported.

ROBBERY: 5700 Block of South Van Dorn Street, 2/1/2021, 12:37 p.m. A man arrived at the victim’s hotel room, displayed a knife, took cash and ran away. No injuries were reported.
