SULLY DISTRICT STATION

MALICIOUS WOUNDING/RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 4100 block of Chantilly Lace Court, 8/8/21, 6:26 p.m. A man approached the victim near the playground and assaulted him. After the assault, the man went to his vehicle, retrieved a firearm and shot at the victim. He was treated at a hospital for injuries considered not life threatening. Officers discovered damage to a nearby home and unoccupied vehicle. No injuries were reported.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 5800 block of Trinity Parkway, 8/8/21, 11:13 p.m. The victim was standing by his vehicle when a man approached him in the parking lot. The man demanded money while threatening the victim, who got in his car and drove off. No property was taken and no injuries were reported.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

WEAPONS DISCHARGE: 8700 block of Richmond Highway, 8/7/21, 3:09 a.m. Officers responded to the area for the sound of multiple gunshots. Multiple cartridge cases were located in the parking lot. No injuries were reported.

BRANDISHING: 8600 block of Richmond Highway, 8/7/21, 11:53 p.m. A man was standing in the drive-thru lane while pointing a firearm at patrons and employees. Officers quickly took Michael Ryan, 29, of Alexandria, into custody. A firearm was recovered. Ryan was charged with three counts of brandishing, concealed weapon violation and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 2800 block of Annandale Road, 8/9/21, 8:18 a.m. A woman was approached by a juvenile in the park where he assaulted her, took her property and ran away. No injuries were reported. With the assistance of K9, officers took the juvenile into custody. He was charged with robbery.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 7600 block of Lee Highway, 8/10/21, 5:21 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property.

ASSAULT/BIAS CRIME: 7900 block of Tysons One Place, 8/10/21, 9:55 p.m. Two women were approached by a man while sitting on a bench. The man assaulted one of the women and yelled derogatory statements at both of them. The man fled the area.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 6600 block of Springfield Mall, 8/8/21, 1:50 p.m. Joshua Bekoe, 26, of Lorton, disputed his cab fare with the driver. Bekoe displayed a firearm, took property and ran away. He was located by officers and charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

VEHICLE PURSUIT: Telegraph Road at Split Rock Road, 8/10/21, 1:50 a.m. Officers located a stolen 2019 Toyota Camry and attempted to make a traffic stop which resulted in a pursuit. After a short distance, the car crashed and the occupants ran away. Officers quickly took both occupants into custody. Charges are pending for both juveniles. 

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 6406 Springfield Plaza (My Eye Doctor), 8/10/21, 3:21 p.m.Four men entered the business, assaulted the employee and took property. The employee received treatment at a hospital for injuries considered not life threatening.

ROBBERY: 7600 block of Oak Ridge Court, 8/12/21, 12:51 a.m.A man and a woman were having a dispute on a sidewalk when an acquaintance stepped in and was assaulted. The woman called 911 and the man assaulted her, took her property and left in a car. No injuries were reported.  

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 4400 block of Forest Glen Court, 8/6/21, 8 p.m. A man approached the victim while at the bus stop. The man displayed a knife, took his property and ran away.
