MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 7000 block of Audubon Avenue, 4/14/22, 4:26 p.m. After an argument, a man assaulted the victim, took property, and ran away. This was not a random act. No injuries were reported.

GRAND LARCENY/ DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 6307 Richmond Highway (My Eye Doctor), 4/19/22, 6:24 p.m. Four men entered the business, broke display cases, and took property.

ROBBERY: 6000 block of Tower Drive, 4/20/22, 7:50 a.m. A man approached the victim, displayed a firearm, and took property. The man left in an SUV. No injuries were reported.

POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I/II/ POSSESSION OF STOLEN FIREARM/ FALSE ID TO LAW ENFORCEMENT: 7100 block of Fairchild Drive, 4/20/22, 6:05 p.m. Officers found two men smoking marijuana inside a shared laundry room. Further investigation revealed the men to be in possession of a stolen firearm and scheduled I/II drugs. One of the men provided false information to the officers. An 18-year-old man from Alexandria was charged with possession of a scheduled I or II drug, possession of stolen firearm, possession of firearm with scheduled I or II drug, and false identification to law enforcement. An 18-year-old man from Alexandria was charged with possession of scheduled I or II drug.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 1961 Chain Bridge Road (Solei Kiosk), 4/15/22, 5:22 p.m. A woman got into an argument with a store employee, threatened force and took property. No injuries were reported.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 6200 Little River Turnpike (Giant), 4/18/22, 8:41 p.m. A 28-year-old man from Annandale entered the business and took merchandise without paying. When confronted by store employees, the man assaulted the employee. The man was charged with robbery. No injuries reported.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

SHOOTING: 2100 block of Astoria Circle, 4/16/22, 5:31 a.m. Officers responded after several community members reported gunshots. A man was found suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was taken to a hospital with injuries that were considered life threatening. The man’s condition has since been upgraded, and he remains hospitalized. Preliminarily, the suspect(s) are believed to have left the area in a silver sedan. Multiple shell cases were recovered from the scene and several community members reported property damage. No additional injuries have been reported.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 1810 Michael Faraday Drive (Taco Zocalo), 4/17/22, 3:42 a.m. Entry was forced into the business and property was taken.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 6600 block of Springfield Mall, 4/20/22, 12:43 p.m. Two men approached the victim in the parking lot and demanded property. One of the men displayed a firearm and assaulted the victim before leaving in a black Hyundai Sonata. No injuries were reported.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 6436 Springfield Plaza (CVS), 4/20/22, 4:12 p.m. Two men entered the business, displayed knives, took property, and left in a black Hyundai Sonata. No injuries were reported.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 9558 Old Keene Mill Road (Burke Cigar), 4/19/22, 3 a.m. Entry was forced into the business and property was taken.
