Juvenile Charged with Involuntary Manslaughter for McLean Crash 

SULLY DISTRICT STATION 

STOLEN VEHICLE WITH APPREHENSION: Route 28 at Walney Road, 4/23/22, 12:30 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the location for a disabled vehicle. After further investigation, they determined the 2005 Toyota Corolla was reported stolen earlier in the day from a neighboring jurisdiction. The driver, a 31-year-old man from Woodbridge, was arrested and charged with grand larceny. 

STABBING: 14200 block of Centreville Square Shopping Center, 4/26/22, 5:24 p.m. The victim was stabbed in the upper body following a dispute. The man was taken to the hospital for injuries that were considered life-threatening. The man’s condition was later upgraded to injuries not considered life threatening. Officers found the suspect and the 44-year-old man was charged with malicious wounding. 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 5748 Union Mill Road (Starbucks), 4/27/22 & 4/28/22, 4:16 am & 3:25 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business both nights, stole and damaged property. Preliminarily, detectives believe it to be the same suspect. 

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION 

ROBBERY: 7000 block of Richmond Highway, 4/23/22, 12 a.m. A 43-year-old Alexandria man assaulted the victim, took property, and ran away. Officers located the man nearby. He was arrested and charged with robbery. 

Reckless Discharge: 8400 block of Richmond Highway, 4/23/22, 5 a.m. Officers responded to the area for a report of gunfire. Officers found a spent cartridge case and an unspent round. No property damage or injuries were reported.   

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 8010 Richmond Highway (7-Eleven), 4/24/22, 5:36 a.m. A 35-year-old Manassas man entered the store, threatened an employee, and took property. Officers located the man nearby, he was arrested and charged with robbery, credit card theft, and vehicle trespass. 

STOLEN AUTO WITH APPREHENSION: 8600 Block of Gateshead Rd, 4/24/22, 10:22 p.m. Officers located a 2001 Dodge Dakota that was reported stolen minutes prior. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver, an 18-year-old man from Alexandria, was arrested and charged with grand larceny. 

STABBING: 7200 block of Saul Road, 4/27/22, 9:50 p.m. The victim and suspect got into an argument in the parking lot. The suspect claimed gang affiliation while stabbing the victim in the upper body then ran away. Detectives identified the suspect, a 17-year-old female, and determined it was not a random act. Detectives obtained petitions for malicious wounding and gang participation. Detectives are working to locate and arrest the suspect. 

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION 

STOLEN AUTO WITH APPREHENSION: 7300 block of Lee Highway, 4/22/22, 7:27 p.m. The victim called police after he located his 2003 Ford Ranger which he had reported stolen three days ago. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver, a 43-year-old Fairfax man, was arrested and charged with grand larceny and driving on a revoked license. 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 1900 Gallows Road (McLean Asset Protection), 4/26/22, 10 p.m. Someone entered the business, without force, and took property. 

MASON DISTRICT STATION 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 3811 South George Mason Drive (M&M Salon), 4/22/22, 5 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business. Nothing was reported to be stolen. 

ATTEMPTED CARJACKING: 6100 block of Arlington Boulevard, 4/27/22, 5:07 p.m. Two men approached the victim in the parking lot. As the victim exited his car, two men assaulted him. Officers located the 17-year-old juvenile suspect nearby, petitions were obtained and served for attempted carjacking. The victim was treated for injuries not considered life threatening. 

CARJACKING: 3600 block of Barcroft View Terrace, 4/27/22, 7:04 p.m. A man approached the victim on the sidewalk, displayed a handgun, demanded property, and drove off in the victim’s 2019 Toyota Rav 4. No injuries were reported. Preliminarily, detectives believe the carjackings are related. 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION 

No events to report. 

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION 

RECKLESS DRIVING: 6000 block of Farrington Avenue, 4/24/22, 6:15 p.m. Officers responded to the location for reports of approx. 50-75 cars gathering in a parking lot. As officers worked to disperse the crowd, several cars were observed driving recklessly. As additional officers arrived, the group of cars drove off and dispersed. There were no crashes, or any injuries reported. There were no arrests made however, officers collected video evidence and are working to identify the drivers

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION 

RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 7900 block of Charles Thomson Ln, 4/26/22, 3:40 p.m. A man and juvenile were approached by three men on the sidewalk who shot at them and ran away. No injuries were reported by either victim and no property damage was discovered. Preliminarily, this does not appear to be a random act. Detectives are investigating this case. 

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION 

ROBBERY: 11778 block of Fair Oaks Shopping Center, 4/24/22, 4:17 p.m. After an argument, a juvenile assaulted the victim and took property. After further investigation, the juvenile was identified and petitions for robbery were obtained.
