SHOOTING INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 6100 block of Stonepath Circle, 8/8/22, 1:27 a.m. A homeowner heard gunshots and found property damage inside her home. No injuries were reported. This does not appear to be a random act.  


COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 4287 Buckman Road (KinderCare), 8/8/22, 6:21 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business, damaged and took property.

STOLEN AUTO RECOVERY: Richmond Highway and Dawn Drive, 8/8/22, 8:22 a.m. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a BMW that was reported stolen from another jurisdiction. The driver of the BMW disregarded the signal to stop. He drove a short distance away then jumped out of the moving vehicle. The car rolled into a tree in the 2400 block of Dawn Drive.

SHOOTING INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 2000 block of Blunt Lane, 8/9/22, 8:32 a.m. The victim was awoken to the sound of broken glass. Officers found a bullet fragment on the victim’s floor which, had likely caused the property damage. No injuries were reported.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 8330A Richmond Highway (Tobacco Vape Palace), 8/10/22, 3:37 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business. Nothing was reported to be taken.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 6241 Richmond Highway (Citgo), 8/11/22, 1:15 a.m. Two men and a woman approached the kiosk. One man demanded money, threatened to harm the employee, then took merchandise. No injuries were reported.

ROBBERY: 7900 block of Richmond Highway, 8/11/22, 8:31 a.m. A man and the victim got into an argument. The man assaulted the victim, took his property and left. This does not appear to be a random act.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6511 Braddock Road (In and Out Laundromat), 8/6/22, 4:57 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property. 

ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6531 Arlington Boulevard (Unlimited Cigars & Vapes), 8/7/22, 2:03 a.m. The witness heard two loud bangs and observed two juveniles run from the business. Property damage was found along with burglarious tools at the rear door. Officers found the two juveniles and arrested them for burglary.


STOLEN AUTO WITH APPREHENSION: Glade Drive and Sunrise Valley Drive, 8/6/22, 9:26 p.m. An officer saw a stolen 2008 Mazda 6 and attempted to stop the vehicle. The juvenile driver and three juvenile passengers ran from the vehicle. The driver was arrested, and the other passengers were identified. Petitions will be obtained.   


ROBBERY: 5500 block of Vincent Gate Terrace, 8/7/22, 5:30 p.m. An 18-year-old man and two juveniles approached the victim. One of the juveniles brandished a weapon, assaulted him, and took his property. The adult man, from Springfield, was arrested and charged with robbery and possession of a schedule I/II drug.

ABDUCTION/ROBBERY: 6100 block of Backlick Road, 8/8/22, 1:30 a.m. The victim was walking when he was grabbed and pushed into the rear of a black SUV buy three men and a woman. They advised the victim he was being kidnapped while assaulting him and taking his property. The victim was able to call 911 after escaping from the rear of the moving vehicle. The victim was treated for minor injuries. 

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 6691 Frontier Drive (Home Depot), 8/8/22, 2 p.m. A 27-year-old man took merchandise without paying. When confronted by a store employee, the man displayed a knife and ran from the area. Officers found the man nearby and arrested him for robbery. No injuries were reported.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 7955 Angleton Court (Professional Grounds Landscape), 8/9/22, 7:56 a.m. Three suspects forced entry onto the business and took property.


COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 4604 Ravensworth Road (Hope Lutheran Church), 8/8/22, 1:20 a.m. Someone made entry into the business, damaged and took property.
