Update to Homicide in Alexandria

The victim of the homicide in the 5300 block of Bedford Terrace has been identified as 51-year-old, Raymond A. White, of no fixed address. Police have charged Jessica R. Deneal-Whalen, 27 of Alexandria with 2nd Degree Murder.   After a night-long investigation, detectives determined the victim and suspect were together at the residence and Whalen became upset and assaulted White.

Homicide Investigation in Alexandria Area

This afternoon around 3:19 p.m., patrol officers from the Mount Vernon District were called to the South County Government Center located at 8350 Richmond Highway for a suspicious event report. According to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner, the manner of death has now been ruled homicide and Major Crimes detectives continue their investigation.
