Police are asking the public’s assistance in locating a 48-year-old Springfield area resident who is wanted for sexual battery of a juvenile.
Ricardo Delgado-Tobar, of Abilene Street fled from the area after being contacted by police during the course of the investigation. Detectives do not know if he is still in the area or, possibly, outside of the U.S.
An investigation began after police were called by a Fairfax County high school guidance counselor on February 4, 2014. A 15-year-old girl had shared information about being sexually assaulted by the suspect on numerous occasions. The victim and suspect are known to each other.
Police remind residents that it is illegal to assist a fugitive from justice by providing money or other resources to them.
Fairfax County Police are working in conjunction with the United States Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force on this case.
