Arrest Made in Culmore Homicide

Mason Police District – Police arrested 24-year-old Jose Antonio Gavidia, of no fixed address, on October 8 and charged him with murder in this case. The investigation continues.

Homicide Victim Identified (September 2, 2014)

Mason Police District – The victim in this case has been identified as Filaberto Felipe Paz Ramirez, 27, 6001 Knollwood Drive. Police were able to contact family members in Guatemala to make notification.

Culmore Death Investigated as Homicide (September 2, 2014)

Mason Police District – The autopsy has been completed and police are now investigating this case as a homicide. The victim has been identified but next of kin has not been located yet. Upon further investigation, police can no longer rule out the possibility that this is a random act.

Suspicious Death in Culmore Area (September 1, 2014)

Mason Police District – Around 2:07 a.m. on Monday, September 1, police were called to the 6000 block of Bellview Drive in the Culmore area, for a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, police discovered the body of an adult male in a parking lot with trauma to the upper body. Police are investigating this as a suspicious death, however there is nothing to indicate any threat to the general public. The exact manner and cause of death will be determined the Office of the Medical Examiner.
