Homeless Man Found Dead in Falls Church

Two Fairfax County residents discovered what appeared to be the body of an adult male lying in a wooded area near South Street and Holmes Run Road on Sunday, May 10 around 10:30 a.m.  Police, Fire and Rescue units arrived and confirmed the death a short time later. The subsequent investigation determined that the deceased, Robert S. Johnson, 66, was homeless and had recently been discharged from a local hospital where he had been treated for an undisclosed medical issue. There were no signs of suspicious activity at the scene. The death appears to be from natural causes.
