ROBBERY: 3600 block of Robert E. Lee Place, 12/14/15, around midnight. A 50-year-old man was approached by two men. One produced a handgun, the other pulled a knife; the suspects demanded money and fled with a small amount of cash. Both suspects were described as black, about 27 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall. Both had a thin build and wore black clothing. One suspect had short wavy hair. The victim did not require medical attention.
BURGLARY: 6300 block of S. Kings Hwy. 12/14/15, around 12:45 a.m. Someone entered an apartment and fled when the resident awoke. There was nothing taken. The suspect was described as Hispanic, in his teens, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and wore a white T-shirt.
CHILD NEGLECT/ARREST: 6300 block of Richmond Hwy. 12/14/15, around 1:24 p.m. A woman was charged with leaving her 1-year-old child alone in a locked car with the engine running. The child was transported to the hospital and found to be in good health. Maria Lopez-Turcios, 28, of Fort Washington, MD, was charged with misdemeanor child neglect.

BURGLARY: 1300 block of Chain Bridge Road, 12/11/15, around 12:30 a.m. A man burglarized a business and stole property. He was between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 3 inches tall and wore blue jeans, brown boots, a black jacket and black gloves. His face was covered.
POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I/II CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE/ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT/OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE/DISORDERLY CONDUCT/DRUNK IN PUBLIC/ARREST: 7900 block of Richmond Hwy. 12/15/15, around 12:30 a.m. Security called police to report intoxicated men acting disorderly on the property. While officers spoke with one man, a second man made verbal threats to the officers. Both men were arrested. One suspect resisted but after a brief struggle, officers successfully took him into custody. Rodney Nelson, 51, of Alexandria, was charged with obstruction of justice and two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer. James Funderburk, 52, of Alexandria, was charged with possession of a schedule I/II controlled substance, disorderly conduct and drunk in public.

BURGLARY: 9000 block of Little River Tpke. 12/14/15, between about 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. Someone entered the church and stole property. No charges are being sought.
BURGLARY: 7900 block of Charles Thompson Ln. 12/14/15, between about 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. A resident reported that someone entered the home and stole money and property.
