Homicide in Falls Church Area

Fairfax County Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the subject or subjects responsible for the death of 20-year-old Darnell Rashard Ford of Capital Heights, Maryland.
Shortly after 2 a.m. On Saturday, December 13, Ford was apparently shot by someone outside the Safari Lounge, located at 5831 Columbia Pike. Ford was in the parking lot to the rear of the business when the shooting occurred. There were several celebrations taking place at the lounge and police believe someone has vital information about the shooting. Detectives do not believe this is a random act and therefore there is no apparent, overt threat to public safety.
