ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

There will be a SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT Friday night, October 30, in the West Springfield Police District.

DIRECTED PATROL, 10/24/15. Officers from the Franconia Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. One driver was charged with DWI. Seven summonses and nine warnings were issued.

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

No significant events reported.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 8000 block of Richmond Highway, 10/26/15 around 10:44 p.m. The victim was standing outside of the 7-Eleven store and was approached by a man. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded property. The suspect took property and fled in a silver-colored sedan. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as black, 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and wearing a wool cap, black jacket and black pants.

7100 block of Whetstone Road, phone from residence.

2600 block of Windbreak Drive, purses from business.

STOLEN VEHICLES:

7900 block of Kincannon Place, 1995 Chevrolet van.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

2900 block of Beau Lane, electronic equipment from vehicle.

1900 block of Chain Bridge Road, jewelry from business.

8300 block of Leesburg Pike, merchandise from business.

8100 block of Madrillon Springs Lane, license plate from vehicle.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 3700 block of Lacy Boulevard, 10/26/15 around 10:00 p.m. Two men entered a convenience store and displayed a handgun to an employee. One of the suspects physically assaulted the victim and the second suspect took cash from the register prior to fleeing. The victim did require medical attention. The suspects were described as black males in their 20s wearing masks covering their faces.

LARCENIES:

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES: 

7900 block of Conell Court, equipment and tools from vehicle.

9600 block of Hagel Circle, bicycles from residence.

8100 block of Newington Road, batteries from vehicle.

7000 block of Spring Garden Drive, dog from residence.

6500 block of Springfield Mall, merchandise from business. 

STOLEN VEHICLES:

6400 block of Gildar Street, 1999 Nissan Altima.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 9500 block of Old Keene Mill Road, 10/26/15 around 7:55 p.m. A man entered the Safeway store, approached an employee at a check-out counter and demanded money. The suspect took cash and fled. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as white, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, 150 pounds and wearing a mask covering his face.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

MULTIPLE LARCENIES FROM VEHICLES, 11300 block of Bulova Lane, 10/23-10/24/15. Multiple vehicles were entered and property taken.
