Police responded to the Fairfax County Department of Family Services office, located at 7611 Little River Turnpike, on Tuesday, July 12 for a report of a missing juvenile. An investigation determined that Child Protection Services (CPS) had a court order to remove a 6-week-old baby from a local home. CPS staff could not locate the baby or her mother and subsequently contacted the police for assistance.
Detectives of the Major Crimes Division took over the investigation and were also unable to locate the suspect and victim. Further investigation determined the suspect may have fled with the child in a 2011 blue Toyota Sienna with Virginia license plate XJG-1035. On Wednesday, July 13, detectives obtained a parental abduction warrant for Flora Khatun, 31, of Falls Church, and coordinated an AMBER Alert to locate the missing child.
