PURSUIT/ARREST: I-495 prior to Route 236, this morning around 2:50 a.m. An officer observed a vehicle that had just been broadcasted in a lookout by a fellow officer on a nearby call for service. When the officer activated his lights and siren in attempt to stop the car, the driver accelerated and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit was terminated at the state line as the driver entered Maryland. Officers were able to identify and make contact with the driver who then agreed to turn herself in. Maria Miranda, 18, of Annandale, was arrested and charged with DWI and felony speed to elude.
