Detectives Asking for Public’s Help in Identifying Bank Robbery Suspect

Reston Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are investigating a bank robbery at the BB&T Bank, located at 2513 Fox Mill Road in Reston. Just before 2:30 p.m. yesterday Feb. 21, a man entered the bank, implied he had a gun, and demanded money. He was given cash before leaving the bank on foot. No one was injured. Our officers arrived on scene within minutes of the call and thoroughly searched the area. The suspect is described as light-skinned, 20 to 30 years old, 5’8” tall, thin build, wearing a dark gray shirt, light colored jacket and a gray cap.
