SHOOTING: 3000 block of Fordson Court, 7/22/19, 11:11 p.m. A group of several teenagers were in a local park when they heard several gunshots. Two teens were struck and were taken to the hospital with injuries that are considered not life threatening. Detectives believe the shooting could be gang related.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 1711 Clubhouse Road (Hidden Creek Country Club), 7/1/19, 12:03 a.m. Someone entered the business and stole three golf carts. The golf carts were found on the street nearby.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

LARCENY/STOLEN AUTO WITH APPREHENSION: 7000 block of Manchester Boulevard, 7/1/19, 5:05 p.m. Officers responded for a group of teens who stole a tip jar from a business. A lookout was given for the car they left in. Officers learned that car was reported as stolen a few days prior and officers found the stolen 2019 Infinity SUV in the 7200 block of Richmond Highway. Officers attempted a traffic stop but the car drove off and crashed. Three occupants were arrested. Yante Smith, 18, of Centreville, was charged with petit larceny, grand larceny, and disregard police command to stop. Charges are pending for two other juveniles.070219, Mugshot - Smith, Yante
