BOMB THREAT/HOAX DEVICE: 11830 Spectrum Center (Verizon), 12/18/19, 3:29 p.m. A man who was previously banned from the store returned, set a suspicious package on the counter and indicated to an employee that it was a bomb. Officers from the Special Operations Divisions examined the device and determined it to be a hoax. Timothy Stein, 54, of Reston was arrested today and charged with felony bomb threat, felony hoax explosive device and trespassing. Photo not available.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 7413 Little River Turnpike (Shell Gas Station), 12/18/19, 5:31 a.m. A man entered the gas station, implied he had a gun; and demanded money. He was given cash, before he assaulted the victim and then ran from the store. The suspect is described as black, 5’ 7” and wearing all dark clothing.
BANK ROBBERY: 7830 Backlick Road (United Bank), 12/18/19, 9:59 a.m. A man entered the bank, implied he had a gun; and demanded money. He was given cash and ran from the store. The suspect is described as either Hispanic or Asian, 5’8” and wearing all dark clothing.
