BURGLARY: 6300 block of Fort Hunt Road, 2/23/20, 3:13 p.m. Someone broke into a home and stole personal property.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 7910 Richmond Highway (Walmart), 2/21/20, 4:52 a.m. Employees confronted two males who had broken into the store. The males ran away and nothing appeared to have been stolen. The suspects were described as black and in their mid-late teens.
BURGLARY: 3500 block of Lady Anne Court, 2/23/20, 4:01 a.m. Officers were in the area for two men who were pulling on car door handles. Officers then saw two men nearby run out of an open garage. Nothing appeared to have been stolen. The men were described as black and wearing dark clothing.
STOLEN AUTO/DWI/HIT AND RUN: 8000 block of Fordson Road, 2/23/20, 8:01 a.m. Officers responded for car that hit a tree where the driver ran from the scene. Officers found the juvenile driver a short distance away and learned that the 2019 Toyota C-HR was stolen. The juvenile was charged with auto theft, DWI, refusal, hit and run, driving without a license and underage possession of tobacco.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 8992 Fern Park Drive (Robot Works LLC), 2/23/20, 7:57 p.m. Officers responded after the business owner reported a man walking around inside his closed business. Officers arrested Michael Brooks, 45, of Springfield, leaving the business. He was charged with burglary and possession of burglarious tools.
ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 7549 Huntsman Boulevard (Verizon Wireless), 2/21/20, 7:55 p.m. A man approached an employee who was closing the store and displayed a handgun. The employee then ran out of the store and the suspect left the store on foot. Nothing appeared to have been stolen. The suspect was described as black and wearing dark clothing.
