ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 1500 block of Cameron Crescent Drive, 5/13/20, 3:50 p.m. A man approached another man sitting in his truck, displayed a weapon and demanded money. When the driver did not have any money, the suspect ran away. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as a white man wearing dark clothing.

TRAFFIC PURSUIT: 6400 block of Japonica Street, 5/13/20, 3:13 p.m. An officer stopped a Honda motorcycle for a traffic violation but the driver sped off resulting in a pursuit. The motorcycle drove off-road resulting in a crash and the driver was arrested. Abdul Sharifi, 22, of Alexandria, was charged with disregard police signal to stop, open title, no registration, and no insurance.
