SULLY DISTRICT STATION 

POLICE SERVICE/VEHICLE PURSUIT: 4100 block of Presgraves Court, 1/2/21, 5:11 p.m. Officers attempted to stop a stolen 1997 Ford F-150 occupied by a man who had been involved with a shooting in Loudoun County. The man crashed the truck then ran from officers. Officers with assistance from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police and our police helicopter, were able to take the man into custody. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries and upon release, taken to Loudoun County to face charges in their jurisdiction. Charges in Fairfax County are pending. 

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION 

ATTEMPTED CARJACKING: 7500 block of Richmond Highway, 12/31/20, 12:27 a.m. A man entered the driver’s seat of a parked car, made threats to blow up the car to a woman in the passenger seat and attempted to drive away with the car. The woman pepper sprayed the man and he ran away. Curtis Lewis, 38, of Alexandria, was found nearby and threw personal items at officers as they arrested him. Lewis was charged with attempted carjacking, abduction, threats to bomb, simple assault, possession of a scheduled I narcotic, assault on law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct.   

STOLEN AUTO RECOVERY: Bedrock Road at Green Spring Lane, 1/6/21, 8:02 a.m. Officers located a stolen 2017 Lexus RX450H and saw two people run away from the SUV. A juvenile was found a short distance away and charged with grand larceny auto theft. 

MISSLE INTO AN OCCUPPIED DWELLING: 7100 block of Vantage Drive, 1/3/21, 6:31 p.m. A man reported he was in his kitchen when a bullet traveled through the side of his home into a nearby wall. Officers located the bullet, no injuries were reported.  

BURGLARY/CARJACKING/ARSON: 1300 block of Bunker Hill Road, 1/4/21, 12:51 p.m. The victim entered his home and found a juvenile attempting to extinguish a small fire. The juvenile brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s 2015 Toyota Camry. The juvenile left with the car, crashed nearby and ran away. Officers located the juvenile after he attempted to take another man’s car. The juvenile was charged with burglary, two counts of carjacking, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and arson. No injuries were reported.   

ROBBERY/CARJACKING: 7400 block of Richmond Highway, 1/4/21, 2:40 p.m. The victim attempted to sell his 2010 Acura MDX to a man who brandished a handgun, struck the victim with the gun and demanded the victim’s SUV and personal property. The man drove away with the SUV. The victim suffered minor injuries.

MASON DISTRICT STATION 

ROBBERY/ASSAULT: 3300 block of Gallows Road, 1/1/21, 12:55 p.m. Three people assaulted a cab driver who was attempting to collect payment for a ride. They took the driver’s cell phone and ran away from the area. The driver suffered minor injuries. 

STABBING: 3900 block of Persimmon Drive, 1/2/21, 9:30 a.m. A man was stabbed during an argument with an acquaintance. Officers arrived and arrested Adam Kedzie, 35, of Arlington, and charged him with malicious wounding. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. 

DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED/TRESPASSING/ASSAULT: 4500 block of Braddock Road, 1/4/21, 5:56 p.m. A man crashed his car after driving recklessly through a neighborhood. The man ran away from his car, broke into a nearby home and assaulted the homeowner. Officers arrived and arrested Kevin Rosales, 28, of Alexandria, and charged him with driving while intoxicated, destruction of property, trespassing and assault. 

ROBBERY: 3600 block of Annandale Road, 1/4/21, 9:27 p.m. The victim was sitting in his parked car when two men approached with a gun and demanded money. The men took money and the victim’s cell phone before driving away in another car.  

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

WEAPONS VIOLATION: 13400 block of Coppermine Road, 12/30/20, 11:10 p.m. An officer stopped a car for a traffic violation and discovered the driver, Javonta Thaxton, 24, of Reston, was wanted in a neighboring jurisdiction. He was also found to be in possession of a concealed firearm with an altered serial number. Thaxton was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, alteration of serial number from a firearm and driving without a license. 

MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPPIED DWELLING: 11800 block of Breton Court, 1/2/21, 3:02 a.m. A homeowner awoke to a noise and discovered a shattered glass door and a hole in their curtain. Officers responded and located a bullet lodged inside a nearby wall. No injuries were reported.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION  

BURGLARY: 7400 block of Lone Star Road, 1/1/21, 8:38 a.m. A man entered a home through a door and began to take personal property. He was confronted by the homeowner and ran away from the area. Officers, with the assistance of the police helicopter, located Vincent Frimpong-Manso, 22, of Lorton, and charged him with burglary.
