SULLY DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 5501 Union Mill Road (Shell), 3/22/21, 3:53 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business and attempted to take property.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 7320 Richmond Highway (Veekay Video & Financial Services), 3/20/21, 6:34 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property.

BURGLARY: 8100 block of Cooper Street, 3/24/21, 3:18 p.m. A man forced his way into an apartment after the victim answered the door. The victim was assaulted but managed to push the man out of the apartment. No injuries were reported.

STABBING: 4200 block of Buckman Road, 3/25/21, 5:30 p.m. A man was stabbed in the upper body by an acquaintance during an argument. The man was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 1600 block of International Drive, 3/23/21, 11:30 a.m. A man approached the victim, displayed a knife and demanded property before walking away. Responding officers arrested the man, Jason Stokes, 38, of Washington, D.C. and charged him with robbery.  

MASON DISTRICT STATION

MALICIOUS WOUNDING/ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT: 4700 block of North Chambliss Street, 3/20/21, 6:54 a.m. A man entered the building being used as a hypothermia shelter and began assaulting several people inside. The man made his way outside where he damaged a car and spat on responding officers before being taken into custody. Abdul Deen-Sie, 24, of Alexandria, was charged with three counts of malicious wounding, two counts of assault on law enforcement, obstruction, destruction of property and assault.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 5860 Kingstowne Center #160 (Old Virginia Tobacco Co), 3/19/21, 5 a.m. Someone forced entry into the building and took property.

CARJACKING: 5500 block of Backlick Road, 3/21/21, 6:40 a.m. A man entered a parked delivery truck, displayed a gun and forced the workers out of the truck. The man drove the truck away. It was later recovered in another jurisdiction after all contents had been removed.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

RECKLESS DISHARGE: 7900 block of John Adams Court, 3/20/21, 2 p.m. Someone was seen shooting a gun outside who then ran away. Officers were unable to locate anyone injured or involved with the shooting. A bullet was recovered by officers.                                                                                                                                                     

RECKLESS DISCHARGE: Nathan Hale Drive at Ethan Allen Drive, 3/20/21, 9:36 p.m. Several people were seen exiting a car and shooting a gun several times. Cartridge casings were recovered by officers, no injuries were reported.  

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6343-B Rolling Road (TCS Computer), 3/21/21, 3:45 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property. Detectives identified and arrested the man, Toan Phan, 25, of Burke, and charged him with burglary.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY/STOLEN AUTO RECOVERY: 10665 Braddock Road (Star Tobacco), 3/22/21, 4:31 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property. A responding officer located a stolen unoccupied 2009 Ford Econoline E350 and determined it was involved in the burglary.

RECKLESS DISCHARGE: Rectory Lane at Sutter Lane, 3/23/21, 7:25 p.m. A person was seen shooting a gun in the direction of a building before running away. No injuries were reported.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

INDECENT EXPOSURE/ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT/ATTEMPT TO DISARM OFFICER: 2700 block of Centreville Road, 3/22/21, 11:13 a.m. Officers responded for a man in distress who ran into the road when officers arrived. Oscar Sabillon, 19, of Herndon, fought officers during the arrest and attempted to grab one officer’s gun and taser. Sabillon was charged with three counts of assault on law enforcement, attempt to disarm officer, prevent officer from making an arrest and indecent exposure. One officer was taken to the hospital for treatment of a minor injury while another officer was treated at the scene.
