Detectives Continue to Investigate Homicide a Year Later

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 14621 Lee Highway (Dunkin Donuts), 9/27/21, 1:08 a.m. Someone entered the closed business and took property. 

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION  

COMMERICAL BURGLARY: 8100 Tysons Corner Center (Bloomingdales), 9/27/21, 4:40 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property. 

MASON DISTRICT STATION 

ARMED ROBBERY: 4200 block of Annandale Road, 9/28/21, 4:06 p.m. After a dispute, a 29-year-old man assaulted the victim. While the victim was on the ground, the man produced a knife and took the victim’s wallet. Officers located the man nearby and arrested him. The man was charged with robbery. No injuries were reported. 

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 4200 block of Annandale Road, 9/28/21, 10:01 p.m. A 30-year-old man from Annadale approached the victim demanding money. When the victim refused, the man assaulted him and went through his pockets. Officers located the man nearby and arrested him. He was charged with attempted robbery and drunk in public. No injuries were reported.   

RESTON DISTRICT STATION 

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY/ WEAPONS BRANDISHING: 1200 block of Exbury Street, 9/21/21, 12:21 a.m. A man and woman approached the victim while he was walking his dog. The man displayed a firearm, demanded property and quickly drove off. No injuries were reported. 

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION 

STRONG ARM ROBBERY: 6100 block of Backlick Road, 9/24/21, 11:02 a.m. Two victims were approached by a man who demanded their property. When the victims refused, the man assaulted them, took their property and ran away. One of the victims was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

COMMERICAL BURGLARY: 7700 Bakers Lane (McFall and Barry Landscaping), 9/24/21, 6:30 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property.  

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 7879 Heritage Drive (Coin Laundry), 9/24/21, 10:30 p.m. A 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, both of Centreville, forced entry into the business and took property. The 21-year-old man was charged with burglary, grand larceny, destruction of property and false identification to law enforcement. The 18-year-old-man was charged with burglary and grand larceny.
