Two Men Charged Following the Death of Missing Man

Driver from Nov. 2021 Fatal Crash Charged

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 13834 Braddock Road #100 (Tous les Jours), 1/25/22, 7:59 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property. 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 13834 Braddock Road #700 (Yulee Skin Care), 1/26/22, 9:06 a.m. Two men forced entry into the business. Officers located two men hiding inside the business. A 19-year-old and a 22-year-old man, both with no fixed address, were charged with burglary, and destruction of property. Detectives determined the men were responsible for additional commercial burglaries previously reported. The 19-year-old man was charged with four counts of burglary, three counts of grand larceny, five counts of intentionally damaging property, two counts of credit card theft, petit larceny, and trespassing. The 22-year-old man was charged with five counts of burglary, three counts of grand larceny, five counts of intentionally damaging property, two counts of petit larceny, two counts of credit card theft, trespassing, and an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge was served.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 13826 Braddock Road, Suite H (USA 5 Star Multi-Services LLC), 1/26/22, 1 p.m. The business owner reported that overnight two men forced entry into the business and took property. Detectives determined that the 19-year-old and the 22-year-old men arrested in the Yulee Skin Care burglary were also responsible for this burglary.  

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION 

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 8632 Woodlawn Court (CVS Pharmacy), 1/27/22, 9:47 a.m. A man entered the store, implied a weapon, demanded merchandise then ran. Officers quickly located the 36-year-old man, from Alexandria, nearby. The man refused officers’ commands and an Electronic Control Weapon was used to take him into custody. He was charged with robbery, four counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer, attempt to disarm a law enforcement officer, and two counts of resisting arrest.

MASON DISTRICT STATION 

ROBBERY: 5800 block of Seminary Road, 1/26/22, 5:12 p.m. A 19-year-old man from D.C. assaulted and took property from the victim. The man was located nearby and charged with robbery.

ARMED ROBBERY/ MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 7400 block of Hamilton Street, 1/26/22, 10:08 p.m. A man found the victim in the parking lot laying on the ground suffering from a stab wound to his upper body. He was transported to a nearby hospital for injuries that were considered life threatening. The man remains hospitalized. 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION 

ARMED ROBBERY: 11000 block of North Shore Drive, 1/21/22, 10:46 p.m. Three men approached the victim, displayed a weapon and took property. No injuries were reported. 

STOLEN AUTO RECOVERY: 1000 block of Aziza Court, 1/22/22, 11:48 p.m. An officer saw a 2017 Honda Pilot that was reported stolen from a nearby jurisdiction. The officer conducted a traffic stop and the two occupants ran from the SUV. After a short foot pursuit, both occupants were arrested. A 20-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, both of Springfield, were charged with grand larceny.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION 

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 5580 Backlick Road (Mobil Gas Station), 1/23/22, 10:27 a.m. A man entered the business, displayed a firearm, and took property. No injuries were reported. 

DISORDERLY CONDUCT/ ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT/ OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE: 6200 block of Backlick Road, 1/25/22, 5:11 p.m. Officers were called to abusiness for a man who was intoxicated and acting disorderly. Officers located the man who refused to leave the store. The 33-year-old man became combative and refused officers’ commands. During the arrest, the man assaulted officers. He was charged with two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.  

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION 

ATTEMPTED CARJACKING: 7900 block of Rolling Road, 1/24/22, 1:53 a.m. A man approached the victim in the parking lot, displayed a gun, and attempted to take his vehicle. The victim disarmed the man, tossed the gun away and ran into a nearby business. The man fled the area. No injuries were reported.

LARCENY/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 6400 Nativity Lane (Nativity Catholic Church), between 2 p.m. on 1/25/22 and 8 a.m. on 1/26/22. A man discovered four statues in the garden had been damaged. Officers found three of the statues had their heads removed and a fourth one had its head and hands removed. One head of the statue appeared to be taken from the scene. Detectives are continuing to investigate this case.
