Man Dies in Domestic-Related Stabbing in Vienna

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES: 7144 (Clifton Café), 7137 (La Bella Luce Antiques), and 7137-B (Senator Barker’s Office) Main Street, 3/3/22, 9:20 a.m. A 40-year-old North Carolina man forced entry into the three businesses and took property. Officers located the man in one of the businesses. He was charged with burglary, trespassing, petit larceny, and intentionally damaging property. An additional outstanding warrant was also served. 

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 5900 block of Richmond Highway, 3/1/22, 11:50 p.m. Two men approached the victim in a parking lot, assaulted him and took property. No injuries were reported.

BRANDISHING: 8200 block of Russell Road, 3/3/22, 10:45 a.m. A 43-year-old Alexandria man approached the victim after a previous altercation. The man displayed a firearm and pointed it at the victim prior to leaving the scene. Warrants were obtained for the man.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

SHOOTING: Leesburg Pike and Row Street, 2/26/22, 4:13 a.m. The victim was in his vehicle and stopped at a traffic light, when a driver in a Toyota pulled up beside him. The occupant of the Toyota displayed a handgun and began shooting at the victim. The victim’s vehicle was damaged by the gunfire. No injuries were reported.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 2300 block of Soapstone Drive, 3/1/22, 3:50 p.m. The victim was walking on the sidewalk, when he was approached by four men. The men displayed handguns and demanded the victim’s property. The victim was able to run from the suspects, and no items were taken. No injuries were reported.

SHOOTING: 2200 block of Castle Rock Square, 3/2/22, 11:17 p.m. Officers were called to the location after several community members heard gunshots. When police arrived, they found numerous cartridge cases and property damage to a building. Surveillance footage recovered nearby shows a man walking towards the building firing multiple rounds before walking away. No injuries were reported. 

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6134 Brandon Avenue (A&D Pharmacy), 3/3/22, 2:05 a.m. Three men forced entry into the business and took merchandise.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 8212 Gunston Corner Lane (Antonelli’s Pizza), 3/1/21, 9:53 p.m.  A man entered the business, attempted to take an employee’s property, and assaulted him. The man walked behind the counter, discharged the firearm inside the business, took property and ran away. The employee was treated for injuries considered not life threatening related to the assault.

ROBBERY: 5900 block of Bridgetown Court, 3/4/22, 1:30 a.m. A man approached the victim, assaulted him, and took property. The victim was treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening. This does not appear to be a random act.
