UPDATE: Third Passenger Dies from Sunday Morning Crash

West Springfield Police District— A third passenger in the crash that occurred early Sunday morning at the intersection of Braddock Road and Bradfield Drive in Annandale has been pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Today, detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit were notified that Yan Zhou, 68, of Burke, succumbed to the injuries she sustained in the crash. She was a passenger in the 2006 Lexus RX330I.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have information about this case. Those with information are asked to please call our Crash Reconstruction Unit at 703-280-0543. Second Passenger Dies from Sunday Morning Crash

West Springfield Police District— A second passenger in the crash that occurred early Sunday morning at the intersection of Braddock Road and Bradfield Drive in Annandale has been pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Today, detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit were notified that Hong Tang, 63, of Fairfax, succumbed to the injuries she sustained in the crash. She was a passenger in the 2006 Lexus RX330I. Another passenger from the vehicle remains hospitalized.

Sunday Morning Crash in Annandale Leaves One Dead

West Springfield Police District— Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Sunday morning in Annandale.

Yesterday, at approximately 9:42 a.m., officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Braddock Road and Bradfield Drive in Annandale.

Preliminarily, detectives determined the driver of a 2006 Lexus RX330I attempted a left turn from Bradfield Drive onto westbound Braddock Road. The driver of the Lexus turned in front of the driver of a 2024 BMW X6 who was traveling eastbound on Braddock Road resulting in the crash.  The Lexus had five occupants and BMW had two occupants. All were taken to the hospital. Three had injuries considered to be life-threatening.

One of the Lexus passengers, an adult female, Yun Hu, 72, of Annandale was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Two passengers remain hospitalized. The other four passengers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released from the hospital a short time later. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.
