Update – Inmate’s Identity Released

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division located next of kin of the inmate who passed away at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center (ADC) on Saturday, September 3. He has been identified as Kelly Maurice Scott, 53, of Herndon. Scott had been incarcerated at the ADC since his arrest on September 15, 2015.
The autopsy was completed on Monday, September 5 by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the cause and manner of death will be included in their formal report.
Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office personnel continue to cooperate fully with the Fairfax County Police Department’s criminal investigation.
