Detectives Need Your Help Finding These Valued Possessions from Bias-Related Burglary

Mount Vernon Police District – Detectives release photographs of some of the stolen jewelry from the burglary that occurred over the weekend. On March 27, a maintenance worker reported that he found an apartment in disarray and an anti-Muslim statement was written on the wall. The victims had their Quran destroyed and numerous items of jewelry stolen as well. The investigation is ongoing.

Original Daily RECAP Entry: BURGLARY/BIAS-RELATED INCIDENT: 5900 block Grand Pavilion Way. The victims reported that their apartment was broken into sometime between March 24 and March 27. A maintenance employee entered the apartment to do work and found it in disarray and reported what he had found. Property was stolen and there was an anti-Muslim statement written on a wall. The incident is under investigation. There is no suspect information.
