Detectives Investigate Apparent Murder-Suicide

Mason District – Our Major Crimes and Crime Scene detectives continue to investigate after a man and woman were found dead inside their home last night. Officers responded to the 7300 block of Parkwood Court at 10:48 after a relative discovered 51-year-old Judith Garcia Gonzales de Gudiel and her husband 60-year-old Ever Gudiel dead. Preliminarily, it appears Gudiel attacked Garcia, causing trauma to her upper body before hanging himself. Detectives did not find any signs of forced entry, and we do not believe there is a threat to public safety.  The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be conducting autopsies in the next few days to determine cause of death. The investigation is ongoing as our detectives piece together what happened last night.
