Detectives Arrest Robbery Suspect in Culmore Area

Mason Police District – A Falls Church man has been arrested for robbery and detectives continue to investigate six additional robberies in the Culmore area.

Detectives assigned to our Criminal Investigation Division are investigating several robberies and attempted robberies that have occurred since March 4, in the Culmore area of Falls Church. On March 29, officers arrested Josue David Argueta-Perez, 23, of Falls Church. At 12:06 p.m., in the 6000 block of Vista Drive, Argueta-Perez displayed a knife, forcibly took the victim’s money then ran. Officers found Argueta-Perez nearby and took him into custody.

Josue David Argueta-Perez was charged with robbery and is currently being held without bond.  

Detectives continue to investigate to determine if Argueta-Perez was involved in other robberies. In several of the robberies, a man has approached victims with a knife, demanded property and money before running away. In other cases, the victims were approached by three suspects, assaulted and money was taken. Below are a list of reported robberies and attempted robberies. All reported incidents have occurred in the area surrounding Glen Carlyn Drive and Bellview Drive in Culmore.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone with information about these robberies or if they were a victim of a similar crime.
